A refurbished product is a pre-owned Apple Mac, iPod, iPhone, or Apple TV barely used that Apple puts back up for sale with an important reduction. It undergoes a rigorous refurbishment process to make sure it is up to Apple's tough quality standards. If it had any flaw, any defective part has been repaired or replaced. Refurb-Store.com is an independant site unrelated to Apple Inc. Its purpose is to monitor Apple's refurbished section for new products in order to alert you when the product that you want becomes available. You set the products you are interested in when you create your personal alert.

Once you've subscribed, you create an alert. We monitor the refurbished section of the Apple Store to know as soon as your product is available. When it arrives on the Apple Store, we notify you though email, feed, widget... You can therefor be among the first to access the refurbished store and have the best chance to order your product if the price is agreeable to you. Subscribing to Refurb-Store makes sense because refurbished products are scarce, and monitoring them allows you to jump on an opportunity.

Once you've created your alert, everything works on its own: you don't have to worry about check the Apple Store yourself anymore. We monitor the refurbished section for you free of charge and notify you as soon as the product you wish to buy is available.

An alert alows us to target your need with more accuracy, so we can send you an alert when the product you want is available. The supplies being limited and the need great, it is the best way to the first in line to acquire the product.

You just have to go the the page My alert, and to click on "Create my alert". When you are done selecting the products and the store (country) to monitor, you just have to give your email address and a password. Once you clicked on "Save", you will receive a confirmation email. You must click on the link provided in your email in order to activate your alert.

You might have forgotten your password. You have to options to retrieve it. If you keep all your emails, check in your inbox history for mails from @refurb-store.com. You should find the email we sent you when you first created your account. If you can't find this email, go on the page « My alert ». In the right side of the page, in the B section, click on the link to retrieve your password (« If you lost your password, click here »). On the following page, enter your email address and click on « Submit ».

We send you an email with your password and you can go back to « My alert » page and log in.

Did you click on the link contained in the email you received when you subscibed?

If you didn't, try to find this email and click on the link. You account will then be activated.

In order to change your email addresse, you should log in first. Go to the page « My alert ». In the B section, log in by entering both your email and password. You can now click on « Edit my alert »

You arrive on the page where your alerts are set. At the bottom of this page, click on « Edit ».

You arrive on another page called « Personal details ». On this page you can edit your email and password. Don't forget to click on « Save » when you are done. An email is sent to your new email, you have to click on the link it contains in order to validate your change.

You are automatically notified as soon differentsa product matching your alert is available on the Apple Store.

You have access to four different kind of notifications: email, webpage, RSS feed and Widget.

When the email notification is activated, you receive an email every time a product matching your alert is available. You can disable this automatic alert.

The Web notification consists in a personal webpage we create just for you. We give you a specific link and access code. The page is updated every time a product matching your alert is available, you just have to check it on a regular basis.

The RSS Feed notification consists in a personal feed we create just for you. We give you a specific link and access code. The feed is updated every time a product matching your alert is available, you just have to check it on a regular basis.

To take advantage of the Widget notification, you have to download and install the refurb-store Widget (Mac Only). Copy/past the personal key we provide you with (On the « My alert » page) in the widget's preference pan. The content of the widget is updated every time a product matching your alert is available.

This is the easiest for you to manage. Everything is automated, you receive an email as soon as a product that matches your alert's settings appears on the Apple Store. You can then go on Apple's website and buy it if the product suits you.

The email notification is already enabled by default when you create your alert. You can disable this notification by going on the page "My alert" and click on disable in the "Email notification status" section. In order to re-enable it, repeat the process by checking enable instead.

An RSS feed is an XML format allowing to retrieve easily content from a frequently updated website. The main interest of this method of notification is that it works in "real time". It allows you to be informed as soon as the refurbished section of the Apple Store has been updated.

To subscribe to the feed notification, you have to register using the page "My alert".

Once your alert is created, copy the link to your personal RSS feed that you can find in the RSS section. You just have to past it in an Internet browser URL field and refresh on a regular basis.

A widget is a small application managed by Dashboard. Dashboard is an application which appeared in Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger. When it is launched (usually with the F12 key), your desktop fades in the background and is covered by the widgets.

Once you've finished downloading the widget, you will be asked if you wish to install it. Note that if you are not using Safari, you will have to unarchive it first. Click on "install" and remember to choose your favorite country and products in the widget's settings.
